Spark pylons are captures that allow Mario to traverse long distances along the path of the spark pylon relatively quickly.

Trivia
- The game can be completed while only capturing 2 spark pylons: the one at the end of Cap Kingdom and the one in Ruined Kingdom. All other pylons normally required to be captured by Mario can be skipped in two-player mode using Cappy return cancels.
