The Dino is a capturable enemy in Super Mario Odyssey.
There are only four specimens of this capture in the entire game, the most notable being the Dino in Fossil Falls, which is used to perform Dino Skip. The other three can be found in a Cascade sub-area next to the place where the Odyssey is first found, in Deep Woods, and in a Metro Kingdom sub-area (this last one can't be captured).
While in the capture, Mario can attack with A or B and Dash with Y or X or by shaking their controller. The dino is able to destroy nearly every block and every enemy.
It is the only capture to have a time limit; if reached, Cappy will say to Mario that the Dino was too heavy and that he couldn't take it any longer. Before this happens, the Dino's body will pulse for a few seconds, giving time to the player to uncapture and recapture again, as doing so resets the time limit.
